Conversations with Painting is a collaborative exhibition by @hell.hound.of.the.baskervilles , @miacathcart and @elizabethchllnr focusing on the relationship and commonalities between the artists and their practices.
Both artists have created new work for this exhibition following prompts from 30/30 to explore how they approach the daily themes through the medium of painting.
Mia Cathcart is a contemporary painter based in Liverpool, whose work is concerned with anonymity, familiarity, and cliches of traditional portraiture. Sophie Baskerville is a contemporary artist based in Liverpool whose work plays with the physicality of creating a painting, and explores the binaries of human experience.
This exhibition is the third in a series of short collaborative projects by Elizabeth Challinor as part of a larger body of research into collaborative curatorial methodologies and exhibition roles.
