Catching Rabbits and Starting Fires; A Workshop From A Future Manual

THE ROYAL STANDARD presents a touring workshop from A Future Manual: Catching Rabbits and Starting Fires

Dear friends,

Are you worried about the future? Is our current political, economic and ecological meltdown really getting to you? Do you get a strange feeling of dread each time you reach for a copy of the Metro on the floor of the bus?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES, don’t just sit there on twitter, feeling impotent and sad. Start preparing today!

On Thursday the 27th of October, A Future Manual will be holding a Rabbit Catching and Fire Starting workshop at The Royal Standard studios to help you get ready for the world that’s coming our way.

You’ll learn how to turn a computer cable into a rabbit snare*; then how to start a fire with nothing more than flint and steel. After the workshop, we’ll gather around the bonfire, eat jacket potatoes and beans, talk about why we’re doing this**, and feel just a little bit better about tomorrow.

Date: Thursday 27th October

At: The Royal Standard, The Northern Lights, Cains Brewery Village, Grafton Street, Liverpool, L8 5SD

Time: Rabbit Catching from 3pm, Fire making from 6pm. Jacket potatoes from 7. Drop in at any point.

Cost: £Pay-what-you-can (EUROS GLADLY ACCEPTED)

A Future Manual is a DIY guide to surviving and thriving in the bitter, barren world we’re creating for our children. You can find more information at http://www.a-future-manual.org/

Hope to see you there.

Yours,

Tom James
