As part of 2025 Independents Biennial, we have been commissioned to deliver a series of events. Our proposed project was a series of creative workshops called ‘An Inquest Concerning Teeth’, where the meal is the muse. We created a framework for the series that we could inject with our interests and expertise. Using food as a starting point, we produced workshops that align with the meal we will be sharing.

The online iteration brings together documentation from the live event – including video, photography, and fragments of participant responses – with newly adapted digital elements that reflect the work’s interest in how bodies, tools, and food entangle. It reframes the original performance within an accessible, contemplative environment, allowing visitors to explore its textures, processes, and questions remotely.
By shifting from table to screen, An Inquest Concerning Teeth highlights how acts of eating can be seen as inquiries into power, intimacy, and ecological interdependence. The virtual exhibition continues the work’s central enquiry.
